Queendom of Whirlwind
These lands were once ruled by a giant the people called Whirlwind, for his fierce temper and booming voice, until a hero riding on the back of a three-headed zmey dragon battled and defeated the giant. It is said the body of the dead colossus became part of the land and gave it its name. The giant slayer, Ivan “The Brave,” was heir to the lands and established his kingdom there. He raised three daughters who inherited his rule.
Today, Whirlwind is an enormous economic and military power in Rodozem. The three sisters are united and, with their resolve, have turned the land into a prosperous queendom to be reckoned with. Its rich cultural heritage and marvelous architecture are renowned throughout Rodozem. Whirlwind’s trade reaches even the farthest corners of the land, and its cities host people of all creeds and ancestries.
The queendom’s lands stretch far and wide, from seas to mountains, and hold abundant natural riches. The territories are enclosed by an enormous stone wall stretching for miles; the wall stands not only to safeguard the lands, but as a symbol of the united strength, capability, and power of the three queens who govern it.
The three sisters each reside in one of three cities known as the tri-crown capitals. The Silver City of Srebrograd is governed by Slaveya, master of coin and economy, who keeps the treasury in check. The Iron City of Zheleznigorod is ruled by Moranna, general and commander of Whirlwind’s enormous army. And lastly, the Copper City of Mednogorsk is governed by the fair Lubomira, an eloquent diplomat who acts as an ambassador between nobles and common folk.
