Fierce tremors shook the very foundation of the Great Hall of the Gods, and all within rushed out to witness a gargantuan serpent tower over the land, blocking out the skies, casting its great shadow over it. As the snake was slithering up and down across Rodozem, its skin of rock and earth was shedding, leaving mountains and canyons in its wake. Distant thunder rumbled and the skies grew dark. Perun's eyes lit with crackling lightning and he marched towards it, but Mokesha stayed his hand gently, yet firmly. She knew this was the Great Spirit of Earth taking shape, and weapons and war were not the way. This was to be her labour. With eyes deeper than the endless starry skies, she found Perun’s gaze; his brow softened and the storm subsided before its nascence. The goddess beseeched him to give his word he’ll remain within the Great Hall for as long as she was gone, and not risk disturbing what only she could do. Mokesha tied a scarf she had woven upon her eyes and followed the colossal serpent Spirit deep into the bowels of the Earth. In the bottom of its darkest pits within the Spirit’s domain, is where Mokesha’s vision took her, alone. But in this place of soil and rock, where light couldn’t make its way, the Seer wasn’t blind. Instead, she followed her intuition through the vast depths of Rodozem itself. After three long days and nights, Mokesha emerged again into the light. She walked to find the Gods in the Great Hall. Perun, having kept his word and free of his oath, was first to rush and greet her, and rejoiced to see Mokesha once more. The gods witnessed a bracelet of stone weaving and slithering up and down her arm, as if a tiny serpent crawled upon her. 

No one but Mokesha truly knows what mysteries transpired in the dark bosom of the Earth itself. Even when wise Radigost asked, so he may weave her myth in song and tale, Mokesha kept the secrets of the Earth and its mighty Spirit. She reassured the Spirit was now sleeping, coiling beneath their very feet, guarding the world itself. However, Mokesha did share her vision, that there will come a time when The Great Serpent will rise and shake the land once more - but it should never be harmed, for the only harm will be to Rodozem itself. From then on Mokesha gained her title Earth Mother, the one who guarded the very earth itself.
